Tweetwell...... not quite the day i was hoping for, lol... opened at 630 and smoked it, red lighted for depth.. kinda puzzled me since i never have depth issues and everyone watching from side view was even puzzled. after a couple more lifters behind me got called high we kind of figured it out. where the SPF has been criticized a lot here recently on questionable depth calls, they were taking no chances. so, retook 630 and made it no question on depth, but went so deep i pitched forward a bit and just couldnt push through it. was pretty fried after that one and was debating on just passing and calling it a day, but my son convinced me to go for it. retook 630 and on the decent the right side spotter was asleep i guess and didnt drop as i did so the bar caught his shoulder and pitched me a little to the left, but i was able to recover and it was down and up, everyone cheered, and no lift, lmao!!!!!! in all there was about 10 of 36 full power lifters bombed for squats. crazy number considering last meet we had 95 full power and only 6 bomb out on squats. as a side note, im definitely not upset that i bombed out because i really wasnt feeling it after squats anyway, lol. also tried some Overkill White wraps for the first time and they had great rebound at the bottom, but they definitely threw the breaks on for me right at depth. almost swapped back to my inzers for the final attempt, but just didnt feel like worrying with it.
as for horse, ill let him give his particulars, but he did great. proud of him!
