Today, I took in another Brother-of Iron. He has a broken heart. 44 years old, big and bad ass for sure. Forget about what he squats….its more than any “normal” American on South Main Street would believe…. That’s for sure!
I spent 2 and ½ hours getting to know him- remember, I’m the luckiest Doc on earth!!
He has 3 stents placed in his coronary arteries. One artery funny enough is called the widow-maker-No LOL. He has been lifting weights for over 20 years and in the past 5 years was diagnosed with a poor lipid panel and hypertension- The usual stuff!!

TweetStatins are way over prescribed as many meds are these days. I am sure some need them but I would do all I could not to have to take them

Tweetthe v.a. is the biggest drug dealer in the world, my doc 1 time told me his job was to push meds and avoid expensive treatments, bad back? here are some pain meds. headaches? pain meds sore muscles? muscle relaxers, it is slowly changing but if they figure they can prevent 1 heart surgery by putting 100 guys on a drug that's what they do
