TweetIm sorry about ur friend brother she will be in my family's preyers my dad had lukemia in 1986 he went threw chemo it was hard on him he was blessed and has been in remmission since god bless ur freind
TweetA dear friend of mine has leukemia and has been on chemo for several months waiting for it to go into remission so they could do a bone marrow transplant. The chemo left her weakened to the point where a mask and gown was worn when visiting her.
If chemo wears a body that much then it is not good and leaves you open to other infections or invasions that the body rids itself of.
She has go cancer of the spine as well as leukemia and has been sent home with hospice providing palliative care till she passes.

TweetSorry to hear, the thing about chemo is in an effort to make people better it seems to make them more sick. Killing their immune system , weakening their bones, etc. Was the primary start of her cancer in her spine? I ask this cause Fuzo's best friend had lymphoma. He went through chemo and did well for a couple years. There was a very small percent chance that he would develop Leukemia from the chemo and unfortunately he did. He died at age 27. Chemo is a choice and has helped people live longer lives but it is a poison, imo. Dos that mean if I was faced with that choice that I would necessarily not choose it? No
Its amazing cause when they get to hospice, the pain is just controlled and they often seem to feel their best.

TweetWhen I had cancer and had to go through chemo it was hell on my body.. Because of my other health issues mixed in with the cancer and chemo my immune system is practically all gone and my bones are weekened to the point that I can't lift anything over 20 pounds without bruising myself or getting some kind of fracture.. I can't go back into power lifting anymore and can't lift anything. I have to be very careful when I go out which I haredly do especially in flu and cold season because I catch everything right away and when and if I do get sick I have to have shots of antibiotics and medications to help fight whatever it is that I caught. I will be praying for your friend to be in remission. In order to survive we have to be strong and fight even tho we have to live with limitations of that survival. We also have to have the support of our loved ones weather they be family or friends. Their strength gives us strength and gives us the courage to keep on going , especially if we have children. Its been 8 yrs since my chemo and surgery and I pray your friend has that and many more years in her future.
