And in a matter of a couple weeks, the gut started ...crap!
I know how to fix, but Im curious if anyone actually drinks beer and stays "fit".

TweetVery good point baby very good point.
TweetYou dont have to twist my arm to say that Alcohol is very bad news. Absolutely no benefit whatsoever. Life is always better without it. I aint had booze in 7 years and will never drink again. No matter what. I love being a non drinker.

TweetWow, thats great. Being a non drinker just feels great. Just the thought of alcohol makes me want to puke. Now that I really know how destructive it is, I cant believe I ever drank.
I didnt drink until much later in life. But I drank hard for 6 years. I made up for lost time. I drank enough in those 6 years for 20 people. I blamed it on my dad dying and a divorce. Not valid excuses. There is nothing in life that can happen to me to ever make me drink again. Life is so much better when you deal with things straight up. So many people are running away from their problems with alcohol. I understand that. I tried that method one time. It never works. Since then, I went through my mom dying and paid off a 6 figure irs tax lien-stone cold sober the whole time. Life is good.
Tweeti always tell people that i work with that i would rather see them have chocolate cake ice cream or something like that than booze. you get nothing at all out of drinking so at least by having sweets you are at least gettiing a small benefit out of it even though it is bad

TweetI absolutely love beer but I don't drink it anymore. I truly do love the taste of a good cold beer but I hate the effects of alcohol. Puts me to sleep and makes me feel fat worthless and bloated. Plus with the stress I put on myself from the other things I take sometimes I'd just rather keep other stuff out that could potentiate bad side effects
TweetIll be the odd ball out. I enjoy a drink or two from time to time. Nothing goes better with a bar burger than a nice dark stout, and maybe a shot of bourbon too. I see nothing damaging when moderation is practiced.
TweetThanks for the feedback guys. I felt the same way and i put booze down a long time ago. I let a bad situation bring it back, gotta get right and do right
PAIN DON'T HURT
TweetIv recently gave it up as well and I feel like life is more enjoyable.
TweetYes, I have no problem with people who can drink in moderation. Thats none of my business and I would never judge anyone for having a beer or a few as long as theyre at home. I used to hang out with drunks all the time, now I really dont like being around drunk people. I see how radical it can change people.
Just for me personally, I had to stack up all the negatives of alcohol to leverage myself into stopping. I had to convince my mind that alcohol was nothing but pure destruction and if I kept drinking, I would be dead. When I drank, I didnt drink in moderation. I drank like there was no tomorrow . There was a time I didnt know how in the hell I would ever stop. One thing that helped me is I recalled my younger life when I never drank. I never had a drop of alcohol until I was about 20 years old and even then never drank much until my mid 30s. It can sneak up on you if youre not careful. I just went back in my mind to a time when I was a NON drinker. I started calling myself an ex drinker or non drinker...Its one of my greatest accomplishments in my life. I got comeback player of the year
I guess I dont mind sharing this in an open forum. Not to preach non drinking, but to let people know that it can be done. Im not ashamed of it and if my story can help one person, then its worth telling. I saw the darkest and loneliest places that alcoholism can bring upon a person and lived to talk about it. I resurrected my business and my life from the ashes of alcoholism. Im not in recovery and I am no longer an alcoholic. I just give thanks every day that I am a non drinker. Life is good and thats the truth.
Anyway, didnt mean to turn this thread into an alcoholism thread lol..cheers!
TweetYep the smell of beer or whiskey makes me feel real crappy and stomach pain and it does rob muscle from u bad shit stay away from it not to mention how bad u feel the next day.
TweetI love beer, rum, and whiskey...when i say love that doesn't make me an abuser but I do partake but I've always had great control as I've never been fond of being drunk or even buzzed. I am a one drink kind of guy. I can have one and done. Probably twice a week. Maybe three days if I'm out of town but that's it's.
