TweetI agree I use do work with special kids and adults it's very rewarding and uplifting
TweetFirst let me say that any child can bring sunshine in a day!
We spent the day at softball tourneys for 9 hours yesterday. It was lots of fun and at times a bit entertaining, lol.
Their is an ump about 15 years old and his dad is in charge of the umpires. His dad sits close behind him at every game and if a coach, or any adult questions his call..his dad comes over to get involved. Kid makes a call, our coaches are good with it, otherside caoches arent. Dad comes over and goes againts his kids call, quite humiliating I say, Fuzo and dad have some words. Fuzo controls himself quite good...I must say. Several Moms stepped in and told Fuzo even though he was right...it wasnt worth it.
So my daughters friend has a twin brother with Downs Syndrome. He walks up to Fuzo and puts his arms around and gives him a BIG hug. Now if that doesnt make someone smile then I feel bad for them.
A very priceless moment. God bless all children and those with special needs!

TweetLove this. My youngest played ball on a challenger league. Every kid hit, every kid ran, every kid smiled. No mattervwhat mood i was in i always felt great watching these children enjoy themselves.
PAIN DON'T HURT
Tweetmy neighbor and good friend for many years had twin autistic boys. they were such a challenge but he is a great dad and loves them very much. he divorced his wife and got full custody because she called them burdens. i baby sat a few times while he worked late and they were a hoot.
TweetSo this lil guy was my buddy today. He followed me all around gave me a kiss on the hand, hugged me, made me dance and cheer with him(thought he was going to break my wrists). He asked me where my Dad went and then he described fuzo, lol I pointed to fuzo and lil guy said "yes him". I think his parent thought he was bugging me so they made him come and sit by them, lol Too cute. I sure got the most attention I have had in years

TweetI love hearing things like this. Kids are truly a blessing.
TweetSuch a great story. Got to agree with Yohimbe... Children are such a blessing. I was a guy who never expected to have children, but my two girls have proven to be my saviors. The best thing that ever happened to me, and truly such amazing gifts from God.
