TweetI have used hydrocortisone ointment 2.5% when I had a bad case it helped. I cant remember off hand but something you eat can really help also hope someone will chime in with more.
TweetMy 22 yr old son has hemorrhoids so bad his GF says it looks like he has a raw hamburger between his cheeks. He has been keeping a preparation wipe there for some relief but now he says it so itchy it's raw. He has been to the Doc 2 times about this in the last 4 months and nothing they recommend has helped.

TweetMommy to the rescue! lol J/K That really sucks. I could never imagine having to go thru that. What caused it for him?
Tweetprep h gel, the wipes and avoid anything at all spicy or peppery. if he has to sit for long periods of time that will also make it way worse. i would suggest the prep h that has the cooling stuff in it. i had a buddy that had them unbelievable bad and those are the things he did before they did his surgery. brother in law had to do the same thing also. glad i never went that route myself because flamethrower ass from eating spicy food is enough for me to be glad i dont have that issue

Treatment of Hemorrhoids - Dr. Weil

- Apple Cider Vinegar – Using apple cider vinegar is one of the most popular natural treatments for hemorrhoids. Simply soak a cotton ball or some toilet paper with ACV and apply it to the hemorrhoid area. Repeat this process until the inflammation disappears and symptoms resolve. You should see improvement instantly. Alternatively, add some ACV (half a cup) to a sitz bath.
Coconut Oil - Apply coconut oil directly to hemorrhoids, rinse and repeat. In addition to symptoms subsiding, the hemorrhoids should disappear over the course of just a few days.
- Witch Hazel - An astringent and healing tree, witch hazel is one of the oldest known natural remedies for hemorrhoids. Just soak a pad or cotton ball with witch hazel and apply it to the area.
- Aloe Vera – As with the above treatments, simply apply aloe vera to the affected area to relieve symptoms.
- Squat, Don’t Sit – This is actually heavily important and very overlooked. Conventional toilets are highly unnatural, and may be one reason hemorrhoids are rarely seen in less developed countries, where where squatting is done when going to the bathroom. Sitting down to pass a bowel movement puts tremendous strain on the rectum while squatting straightens the rectum and relaxes the puborectalis muscle. This is tip should be done along with any home remedies for hemorrhoids you may use.

Tweetis there not a surgery to remove them? i thought i had heard of this before
TweetAs others stated, medicated pads(witch hazel) and prep H. But what most people overlook is after a bowel movement. Avoid hard tp and go with flushable wipes. Its less irratating and cleanses the area. Also use them before applying ointments . Hopefully surgery can be avoided
PAIN DON'T HURT
Tweetno way i would put acv on my bum. everything else would be ok to relieve the pain but i cant even dream of what it would feel like putting acv on anything sensitive. yikes

TweetI've had them for yrs due to pain medication and straining. Thing is they've never bothered me only occasionally but I need to get them taken care. I'm glad you made this post
TweetThanks for all the helpful information. My poor son had an upper and lower endoscopy after his first year of college and supposedly there was nothing wrong. He said he suffered with diarrhea both semesters. Now that he's lifting again he has this problem. He must be sensitive and will probably always have to deal with some associated problem in this area. I knew you would all know more than most Docs. Thanks again. Trixie
TweetPsyllium fiber and every other kind of fiber. All day.
You can tell if youre getting enough fiber by how much toilet paper you have to use. Eat enough fiber, and all you gotta do is barely wipe your butt and there is hardly any shit on the paper. Not enough fiber and you have to use the whole damn roll LOL
Many prescription drugs cause constipation, leading to hemorrhoids

Tweetagree. used to be just like him, started metamucil and other sources of fiber and after some time just went away. without it it is either like pooping a brick or the "TT" (terrible taper) with it's a one wiper and that is only to make sure.
