The only reason I'm asking this is because I'm craving burgers, fries, pizza and everything else that isn't good for you. But, I'm going clubbin for the night so I know I won't cheat. (Sorry if I made you guys hungry)

      Back to my question:
Does anyone ever throw in a cheat meal during their cutting cycle?
Like a pizza once a week, or a burger and fries from the Outback (yum).

Just wanted to see if you were all anal dieters or if there are a few normal peeps.

once in a blue isnt gonna kill you.....if i go two weeks dieting perfectly for instance, if im really craving something ill have it...if you don't you'll go nuts and slowly but surely your diet will crumble day by day ( i love listening to myself talk! )...it also depends if you're cutting for yourself or for a contest.....anyways the longer you can go w/out cheating the better....good luck bud

I had a really bad weekend.
Went out sat night and got hammered then went to the pancake house at 4am.
I did ok today, I didn't get enough protein though. I woke up at 3pm and went upstairs and my entire family was just sitting down for dinner. Perfect Timing.

I am going to make sure I do not have another repeat of this weekend while I am on my diet. If I'm not responsible enough to go out and not drink then I won't go out.

Unless you're competing, CHEAT once in a while. But, I'd do it on a workout day so that you don't feel like a slug afterwards. JMO

While dieting, won't a cheat meal actualy reset your metabolism and keep your thyroid from becoming dormant?

I've been debating the once a week cheat meal vrs a cheat meal every 14 days. Dieting very strict with tons of cardio. Just scared if I don't have a cheat meal every week my fat loss is going to come to a halt. Thats why i was thinking perhaps every other week.

Will a cheat meal every 7 days slow you down?

      thoughts?

When I diet, I implement a "cheat day"... yes.. "DAY" not just a cheat meal. I do that once a week and still come in shredded for my shows at 4%bodyfat!

See.. Cheat days are extremely essential while going on low cal. restriction and low carbs. For the reasons explained above, the human body is very adaptive to diet and cardio. Cheat days will throw off your body and trick it into thinking it's not in a starvation mode. As a consequence, it will not slow down you metabolism during the week and dieting results are far more attainable successfully.

Yesterday was a Sat. (my cheat day). I started out the day with a box of donuts... ate half of it with 50g of whey.... lunch time, I had me fried fish, fried shrimp, hush puppies, french fried and cole slaw... two hours later it was taco bell. I had a chicken borrito supreme and bean borrito. more donuts after that... dinner was 7 slices of veg. pizza with my wife and some friends.. and a carrot cake.... lastly at 11pm I topped the night with big cheese burger and french fries... .. This morning, I woke up hungry as hell and looked better in the mirror than any other day while dieting during the week....

Trust me this one... Have a "CHEAT DAY!!!"

      Nice bro,

I do the same thing, except I don't make a day out of it. I have one all oput meal of whatever I want, I do that once a week. I'll go out to dinner and feast for one meal, soon as that meals over though I'm back 100% on track. I believe a cheat day is too much, and might lead to spillover, but a good cheat meal will shock your body without any spillover.

Man... By the time I hit my cheat day, my body is so depleted due to low carbs, cardio, and heavy lifting, that my body just sucks everything up. I never notice a spillover whatsoever... Do you ever notice how damn good you look two days after a Sat. show??? That's despite carbing up for a show.... My point is, I never see a spillover.... But, everyone is different though.. so you may have a legit point!!!
