I have had to incorporate some of the technics you spoke of. I think it is important to note that incline anything and anything that resembles a shoulder press movement is out of the question.
Also, my injury stems from not having a partner to spot me. I do many dumbbell exercises that require me to throw up excessive amounts of weight with poor control sometimes. That is a torn rotator cuff waiting to happen.
