I'm having serious problems in both arms. Left arm is a probable partial distal tendon tear and right arm is tennis elbow or some crap. Now most lifts are fine. I wrap the areas and lift cautiously. I can lift heavy except in one area. One arm dumbbell curls. Curious if anyone has had any issues like this and if they still can get good gains. Curl bar, straight bar curls, machine curls I can go decent, but that pump I used to get from concentration curls and hammer curls is lacking. It may be something I have to deal with forever. My left bicep is noticeably elongated and doesn't have that nice head like my right. I'm not a competitor, but it bothers me just the same.

I have a distal median nerve compression in my left arm. It bothers me on and off depending what I am doing. Have you been to a doc? Maybe your nerves are compressed and it is not a tear in the tendon? My doc said it is actuallt coming from my cervicak compressionand traveling down the arem compressing the distal nerve and causing acrpal tunnel. So the area of origination is really fron my neck. You have any neck pain?

Sounds like you are stuck in a hard place sounds like your muscle grew stronger than your bones and tendons to quickly only advice I can give is either lay off movements that involve those joints for a while to help them heal. Or lighter weight with more reps. And joint supports. Can't get good gains when you're not at your best. Sorry man godluck to you though

Thinking outside the box I like that great possibility

That bicep issue in the left is from being an idiot at work, not waiting for more guys and damn near blew the muscle right through the skin. I think you're right about lighter weight more reps...I just have to get it through my thick skull...lol

I had terrible tendon pain/tennis elbow for a couple months. I couldnt bench unless I went ultra wide. I couldnt deadlift because it pulled in my forearm from grip. I took off 2wks. Well went to the gym but the warm up was so painful I quit and just spotted others. This was brought on from winny but it came on gradually getting worse. I dropped the winny and went to deca. Started MSM Glucosamine supplement. That all helped but the very best advice I can give. Go to youtube and look up voodo wrap elbow. That helped more than anything.

Damn, I know what you mean. If you cant get treatment, try sticking your elbows into a pan of ice cubes and water for about 15-20 minutes once or twice a day. Plus try to stretch the muscles and tendons multiple times throughout the day, for about 60 seconds or so. Also, load up on antioxidants like turmeric and ginger, with omegas 3s, magnesium and d3. Theres a lot of other supplements you can take, but thats a start and not expensive. If you can afford it, pop proteolytic enzymes throughout the day.
Like baby1 said, it could be a neck issue also. Double crush syndrome

No problem bro. There is some awesome stuff from Rogue and the mobility WOD. These are easy things that we should all be doing. You will be shocked when you floss the elbows. It has helped me alot.

I actually just went lighter and did more reps...this helped alot and I still got great gains....it takes a second to get over not going heavy but for me personally it was just ego...As long as I gain I am happy

And those voodoo bands are sweet! I have bicep tendonitis and every single time I would curl it would hurt all the way through my shoulder...I used to think it was a rotator cuff thing but it turned out being inflamed tendons...

MobilityWOD | All human beings should be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves. There is alot of voodo flossing rehab type stuff there. We have been using the bands at our gym. Its funny to see a 300lb man on his tip toes flinching in pain from the manipulations. When you pull that band off and the blood flows again it is divine.
