I have had the tongue swelling thing for awhile now. The docs tell me it isnt but , hey, I know when my tongue seems to big for my mouth, lol. Lots of crazy auto-immune shit going on in my body for several years and it sucks.

hey baby if u say your tongue is swelled its swelled as its part of the disorder. you better have a panel done because i seen a swelled up tongue they had to intubate the person or she would of died. its rare but hey dr don't know everything. get some meds to keep it from getting worse. i don't know how true it is but it mostly strikes woman that had kids. but that's it that i know of. please take care of it and keep me updated as its serious nothing to play w/.

My endo order my thyroid tests but I haven't dragged my butt over there to get then done yet. I also had her order an iron level as that can also cause tongues swelling and plays a part in thyroid health too. The wome in my family have thyroid disease and has seemed to deelop in their 40's. My thyroid antibodies were off the carts when they were first checked but did go down a bit the second time. TSH, t3, t4 were not that bad yet. Still havent taken the synthroid. I wemt through very sggressive infertility treatment in my 30's and I think I am experiencing some ramifications from that. My daughter was all worth it thoigh and I would do it again in a heartbeat

well you got a plan, that's good baby your to nice a person to have anything happen to you. I don't know to much in depth about thyroid just basics all I was taught. but I would be scared of the tongue swelling events your having. like they say everything bad happens in morning. I don't know how true it is. but when I was a medic that's when all the heart attacks happened. don't like wat the dr is feeding you go to another one you know your body better then anyone else. iron is good for woman as there peroids once a month take there toll, that's why I say woman are stronger then men. I know I couldn't pop out a baby.

I have hypo thyroid but never had the puffiness. I take syntheroid and have since I was like 17. I tried to get doc to check T4 as well but he said it was a waste and only would do T3
