Tweetjust buy a rice cooker and get a bag of brown rice from costco. toss the rice in with water and let it do its thing. make enough so that you always have some in the fridge for the next 2-3 meals.
Tweetgood old Minute Rice(Brown) is as good as any other IMO. That's what I use, I don't like to wait too long for my food anyway...
Tweetthanks for the replys guys,
TweetJust like Old Fashioned Oatmeal, and instant oatmeal, Instant Brown Rice, has a higher GI than regular brown rice. It is just more refined. I dont put too much stalk in GI though. Who eats just brown rice? Carrots GI is off the chart, but I would say without hesitating that they wont make you fat. Just eat good fiber with meals, along with the usual protein and fat, and the instant is just as good as the regular IMO.

TweetI have a big stockpot and fix up a couple of bags of brown rice on Sunday, usually while I'm baking a dozen or so chicken breasts and a roast. When I take time to do this I eat better, look better, feel better. I put my time in at the gym. a little more invested in food preparation pays off

TweetI will agree, give me good whole antural food anyday over proccesed crap, even though nutrional values may be close, i can defintley feel the difference. Plus, anyone ever notice instant oatmeal is extemley mushy, whereas old fahsioned has a nice consitency to it? At least I do.
