The procedure your talking about is illegal even in alot of uncivilized 3rd world countries but allowed here for a long time. Deliver the baby halfway out then suck its brain out. It makes me sick.

i am totaly totaly against that, a life is a life. this is a subject im so 50/50 about. on one hand im againt it becuase its just one more choice in OUR lifes the goverment took away but on the other hand i mean how can you kill a baby, idk sometimes the abortion might be better for the world then having the baby grow up with some of the famalies these days. =/

TweetSFG, No bashing took bro. I dont like choices being taken away either. We have already given up more of our rights than im ok with. But with abortion its diferent. You had your choice and you chose to get pregnant. If you can't or wont properly raise it then it should be given to someone who will. Those are your choices. That unborn child has rights as a human being and when you kill it that takes away all of its rights. Most of the time the baby is killed because the mom made poor decisions and didn't want to be inconvenienced with a baby. How about not whoring around. How about getting off your dead ass and step up to your responsibilities. I have 4 kids and work my ass off to just get by but I will do whatever it takes to protect them.

TweetSad truth that so many kids are conceived during a drunk one night stand and the dude is long gone, or in prostitution, drug addicted, etc etc. The child is born into a dreadful situation, drugs,, crime and raised to be a criminal and a drain on society..but then on the other hand, is it a life and when? I tend to think it is, so who protects that human beings life? I think its easier for people to accept aborting something that really never lived in the world...I dunno...its hard either way you look at it. Im prob on th efence just like a lot of Americans. I know a lot of women who have had abortions. It leaves a scar for life. For the guy too, as long as he is a decent human being with a consciounce. Abortion is a brutal ordeal. Its serious. I say first try to adopt if at all possible. Adoptive parents are usually good people who really want to raise a child.

2. Show me a society where women are not allowed abortions and look at the status of 50% of that population. It is part of a societal evolution. When women shed the yolk of reproductive tyranny, she is allowed to be an equal partner in contributions to society. When we are not defined by our reproduction, we are people, not vassals for offsprings. In addition, once abortion is not allowed, you allow many other forms of birth control to slide into the "abortion" catagory eg. IUDS which don't allow fetuses to implant.

4. If you are against abortion, you better be willing to pay for more medicaid and for the health insurance of that child till they are 18. No-one I know who opposes abortion can offer a solution to the 17 yr old on how to pay for child care and health care of her child while she trys to finish her education and find a job. You also better be willing to adopt minority children. In georgia, there are 3 white babies available for adoption every month vs. 100s of black babies. My twin sister put her action with her ideals, she adopted a black baby.

5. I notice everyone who opposes abortion is not Pro-life, the are pro-fetus. Once they are born, they think nothing of sending the child off to a war. They don't care about helping the mom take care of that child since welfare is not a popular remedy. Only when we subsidize child care and health care for every child , once white couples other than gay couples or progressive ones like my sister adopts minority children, can we eliminate abortion since a mother no longer has to agonize about that.

This is true and it is murder. If abortions are to remain legal, they should be legal only in the first trimester, imo. A women should very well know if they want to have the baby or not during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Bandaidwomen is right in saying that if they are illegal, they will still be performed in unsafe practices and environments.
