TweetDo they sell lower sodium kind? Maybe try some Greek Yogurt?
Tweeti noticed that fat free cottage cheese has about 400mg or more of sodium per serving. now when i eat cottage cheese im typically downing at least 4 servings worth, and thats a lot of sodium. so should i cut the cottage cheese intake completely on a cutting diet?

TweetWhy are you worried about sodium? Do you have high blood pressure? Are you drinking enough water? I hi early don't see why you would worry about this if other things are in place. Sodium helps aid in muscle function when you are depleted. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how much sodium I I take and hold next to no water.
TweetI eat shit loads of cottage cheese nips. I don't really cre about the sodiums in food. I care about it but its not as important as the calories and proteins. Your gonna be alright buddy.
Squats make the world go round.
TweetI think I will add cottage cheese to my program. something different
Tweetdo yall just eat it? or put something in it? I have to put alot of salt and pepper for me to get it down!

Tweetif youre dieting for a show id say their are better options. but if your just tryin to lean out u should be fine...i cut out all dairy other than egg whites...if that is considered dairy haha
Tweetwell back when i had a trainer a few years ago he pushed for cutting diets to have no sugar, and very little sodium. one of the things he taught me was any product that has over 150mg per serving of sodium to stay away from due to bloat. im not trying to eliminate sodium just reduce it, but you have peaked my interest here.
in addition i had people around me always state "sodium is your enemy" while on a cut.
i take it from you all that i should keep this in my diet, which is comforting.
TweetCottage cheese is a great bbing dieting food that all should use.Non-fat cottage cheese doesnt have that much sodium at all actually.
Besides,as the others have stated, sodium will only play a major role in dieting if you are tryinhg to prep for a show but aside from that its consumption is not that big a deal as long as you keep your overall intake moderate.
Here's a link to some great cottage cheese recipes for you try that really do taste great..............

TweetThe only time I start totally cutting out sodium is a couple weeks out. Otherwise I dont worry about it much. I mean, I limit it, Im not running out and eating potato chips
TweetI don't agree with this at all. I agree it should be cut a week or so out but if your still making gains with it at 10 weeks out why should you cut it? Save that for when you hit a plateau.
TweetAbsolutely keep it on your body. Answer this question. If you eliminate sodium even 2 weeks out what are you gonna do the day before to help you dry out? If you still had sodium in your diet you could cut it and get dry as a bone. Also sodium will only bloat you if you aren't drinking enough water. Drink 2 gallons a day for a week and tell me how bloated you are.
Tweetgreat stuff yall, and speaking of the water i am really slacking on it. im actually slacking in a who slew of areas, but im trying to get my feet back on the ground and get moving. no shows for me, so i get yalls point there, just want to get the 6'er going by the end of may.
