      In July of last year I took some photos of myself and decided that it was time for me to get serious about getting in shape. I weighed 330 at close to 50%Bf. My diet lasted maybe a week or two before I went back to eating like I use to just less of it. I ran 3 times a week going from a 18-20 minute mile to now I can run a 10 minute mile for almost 5 miles, my next running goal is a sub 30 minute 5k. I dropped to my lowest point of 230 at 23% but I seem to float around the 230's no matter what I do activity wise. I even added lifting and my weight started skyrocketing again back up to 240 still at 23%. I eat about 1600-1800 cal a day. I am 6 Foot 1 Inch and 22 years old. I recently kicked my Taco bell addiction, and I am taking a break from smoking weed (also gave up acid and shrooms just to be clean all around.) until I reach my goal ,if I ever decide to do it again. I dont take any supplements except a multivitamin and protein on lifting days, I really like isopure quite a bit. I would like to get down to 220 and sub 15% BF and have a little more definition in my chest and shoulders. My physical goal is to be able to do pullups to make rock climbing a lot easier for me, and possibly enroll in kickboxing.       I have absolutely no idea of how to do a proper diet or what i should be looking at to eat. I just moved apartments so I am almost completely out of food so I figured now would be the best time to give my diet a total makeover. I have been told my best bet would be to lean out and then build muscle once i have reached a good lean weight. I am not picky on what I eat I just need some ideas or maybe even a shopping list, and if someone would recommend a better fat burning workout besides just running on the treadmill or outside I would be open to suggestions.

      First off I want to congratulate you on kicking that taco bell addiction. I had a mcdonalds addiction for many years. I know it doesn't compare to the Taco - bell addiction but I still feel your pain. Bro I don't know a lot about diet so I cant be a big help. I will tell you a few things I know. If you are going to eat carbs do it before you run. Meals every couple of hours. Stay away from pop, salt, carbs, women, candy bars anything that is good to eat don't eat it. Not really but you know what I mean. I have been gearing my diet toward the Mediterranean diet. Really by accident. I set up my diet and those are the foods I ended up with lots of fish. There are a lot of guys that will chime in and help you out that know far more then me. Good luck bro. I am always around feel free to ask me any questions.

      I actually attribute smoking a lot and then running to taco bell at 2 in the morning to why I ended up in such rough shape to begin with. I still think its my favorite but i wont go there till i hit my goal, and then i might just not feel like it anymore lol.

      how many calories do you consume per day? I have a hard time getting full off of low calorie foods that are good for you, I love rice but i have recently been told that it is awful and i should stop consuming so much of it.

      lots of good advice here these guys know there stuff im not the best with diet but katelly made a good point. stay away from fast food and all the crap like that soda all that crap drink plenty of water and just eat lean clean foods and that alone will make you feel better give you more energy, make you feel healthier and soon enough you will start droping fat! then slowly you can reel it in more and more and start tweaking things

      I have a lot of loose skin from losing a lot of weight really quickly. would a compression shirt and shorts help pull everything in and tighten up the loose skin or is that just something that happens over time?I wear compression shorts to prevent chafing on 5+mile runs but since i lost so much they arent really compression anymore and fit more like boxers but they do their job at preventing chafing.

      I was thinking of picking some but didnt know if it would be pointless or not. I would rather look fat with tight skin rather than fat with my saggy loose skin.

      that loose skin is a loss in the your skins elasticity. i am not sure what exactly would tighten that up, but i do know someone who had to have it surgically removed cause she had a lot.

      I have seen friends with a very gradual weight loss who mostly maintained skin elasticity, and drastic weight loss for others where it just wouldn't tighten up.

      once you lose skin turgor its got to be cut off. but take one step at a time. I know and I train a lot of 300+ lb woman and they lose the weight and then they get it lasered off. so just concentrate on taken off the extra weight first. keep at it ull do good I promise you that. yes these guys from kately to all the guys are a one in my books. baby is always a good one for tricks. shes my dr lol.

      I don't have any where close to what I have seen people get cut off. I just worry hen I start getting definition it will be hid by the loose skin and still look bad
