had a buddy call me.
TweetHe told me he was scared they were going to pass the ban on assault weapons and he wanted to get rid of the one he had. I asked what it was. He said a black one with a scope.
i was thinking AR15! so i casually asked how much. he said he would trade it for a gun that would be legal after a potential ban. I told him i had a savage .22 semi auto which was fun and cheap to shoot. he said come on over. When i arrived he handed me a gun sleeve and i handed him mine.
it was a hi-point 9mm carbine and 2 mags 1-10 and 1-15! its no AR15 but its still got a cool factor and will be fun to shoot. its got a $40 BSA red dot on it to boot.
they are going for $400 at the gun shows right now if you can find them. buds had them for about $300 before all went nuts. I only paid $100 for the .22.

TweetNice trade! Too bad it wasnt the AR15 you were hoping for. The wait list down here is about 1 year for an AR 15. I would build one before buying one though

Tweetcant wait to go out to the property and set up some steel. my buddy has a ruger 9mm carbine and now i we can have some friendly competition.
alot more fun and more realistic than shooting at a gun range.

TweetIf ur in Fl there are Gun Shows everyweekend....There are so many guns in the south its not gonna be as difficult as everyone thinks...There are literally millions of assault weapons and alot of sellers...evan when the Assault Weapon Ban was in effect in 94 it wasnt difficult to find several...Uppers are also everywhere! Just got the 6.5 Grendel with a 24" barrel shooting Lapua ammo...800yd targets are fun with not much recoil.
