What the **** is wrong with parents? I can't blame the children as this is bad parenting. I was just informed that kids are drinking lemon extract at school. Now it took me a minute to get this to click and when it did my jaw about dropped. Lemon extract is up to 84% alcohol,168 proof.
I'm glad we have an open relationship with our children to discuss anything.
My daughter is in 7th grade. Just a damn shame.

Yup same here Suprfast. My daughter and I are really close and have a real close relationship. She knows that she can come to me with anything and I promised her that I would keep an open mind and not judge until she was done with what she has to tell me. I am fortunate enough tho that she's in home school and right now I don't have to worry about issues like that. She's 16 going on 17 and I'm so scared of her going into adulthood. But I hope I have done enough good parenting to let her judge whats right from wrong. Thats all we can do.

Some parents just don't care about their kids like they should . That might not even be fair for me to say because with this economy some have both parents with jobs working full time and so they expect their kids to do the right thing without actually knowing the truth of what they are up to. Its unfortunate but thats reality sometimes.

holy crap. i didnt know that. but i do remember putting vodka in a prescription container, buying an OJ at lunch and mixing the vodka in during my last class while we were watching a sex ed video.

my boy is 14 and a freshman in highschool. because he is younger he is smaller and i think he acts out a bit to compensate. he has never gotten in trouble but he is infatuated with girls. his grades have slipped and i check his phone and there are 100 texts to 25 girls. he calls it scattergun effect. where the hell did he learn that? i was in college before i used that technique

My son is 15 and him and I are very close so he tells me everything! You should hear the shit he tells me about kids at school. Apparently heroin is the big thing at our high school, mind you we live in a community of 5000. Blows my mind kids using heroin! I would have to agree that it falls back on the parents. We average one extra kid a weekend at our house, by that I mean my son has friends that want to hangout with our family, just for the food and fun that we have because they do not get it at home.

Absolutely crazy, kids will do anything that's why they need parents! Remember robo'ng and triple C? Common household items taken to get high...way worse than when we were kids sneaking a 5th of Jack! This shit kills!

What's the knee jerk reaction? Losing our rights as Americans slowly as government tells us what we can an cant buy. Parents need to step up!
