shogun TKOd vera in the 4th. the first round was incredible. these guys gave it all they have. screw the fact it was a 5 rounder.

what can i say about swick vs johnson. back and forth until swick caught that leg kick, swept his other and came down with all his might with a big right, johnson was asleep. glad to see swick healthy

Varner definitely earned some points with the bosses.

Vera also earned those points. It was good to hear Dana talk highly of him. Vera looks not so lazy now, he just lacked the confidence in that fight.

Swick looked alright. For sure some ring rust there, good to see him win.

Shogun...eh...I'm a HUGE fan but I think he's on the downswing. All of the wars he has had are catching up.

TweetThey were great fights. I really wanted to see Varner pull out the win but he had an excellent fight none the less. Vera couldn't hang with Shogun. Shogun looked liked he had too much power for Vera. Vera gave it a good effort but there was a few times I thought he was quiting or thinking about it and decided to go on. The way he fought and the way they called the fight made it seem like he was just trying to survive and not going for the victory with 100% commitment. Great night of fights. Best Fox showing yet.

Exactly. But that is a good sign for Vera. His previous mindset would not have lasted near as long with Shogun. He would have quit. I like Vera but he has had issues for some time. It was good to see him put up a fight. Standing he could have given Shogun all he wanted. That's why Shogun was so worried about getting it to the ground.
