You have worked out hard and followed a healthy diet plan before your summer vacation. You’ve done a great job at losing weight and adding lean muscle. You are planning on a trip. You want to continue eating healthy on vacation. There are plenty of ways you can maintain your healthy eating habits.

One of the ways to continue eating healthy on vacation is to plan ahead. Depending on where you go on your trip, you can pack some of your own snacks and lunches for the best diet and nutrition when you are away from home. If you are only a few hours away from your house, you can shop ahead of time. Bring fresh fruits, vegetables and multigrain bread along with you. Buy fresh deli meats so you do not eat processed fast foods. Keep enough food with you in your hotel room so that you do not head to the snack machine and load up on high calorie junk food.

If your vacation is in another state or country, when you arrive you can head to the grocery store. Buy yourself healthy foods for when you get a craving. You will also save money if you decide to eat in your hotel room for one or two meals a day versus eating at a restaurant three times per day. Your healthy diet and nutrition ways will thank you as well as your pocketbook.

You can continue to eat healthy on vacation by dining at Chinese restaurants. Make sure that the particular restaurant does not use MSG on their food. You do not want to feel tired on your vacation. When eating at a Chinese restaurant you can load up the vegetables and meat onto your plate. You need your protein and vitamins to keep your energy up. You will need some carbohydrates as well. Try to keep your carbs around 45 to 60 per meal.

When you dine out at a Mexican restaurant you want to load up on the vegetables again. Choose meals such as a chicken fajita or a steak fajita. Most Mexican restaurants give you all of the food on a platter and let you build your own fajitas. This is the perfect situation to continue eating healthy on vacation.

Fajitas come with fresh sautéed green peppers, onions and red peppers. You will have your meat and fajita wrap. Place a lot of vegetables onto the wrap and some of your meat. You may have sour cream or guacamole to add to your fajita. You may dab some of the sour cream onto it if you so choose. Guacamole is fattening but it is healthy for you. Avocado contains monosaturated fat which is known to decrease cholesterol levels. This wonder vegetable has a lot of vitamins, fiber, potassium and other healthy items your body needs to function properly. As healthy as avocado is, it contains a lot of salt. Therefore, you should use guacamole sparingly.

By following the above tips you can continue your current healthy diet and nutrition way of eating.

Great read.Being one that travels quite a bit I can tell you this is sometimes a challenge. Now the easiet way is having access to a kitchen whereever you are staying. No matter where you are,you can buy food at your local supermarket and still eat whatever you like and as healthy as you like.

Now as for eating out, planning ahead as the report says is key. Before I go away,I always research the area for healthy eating establishments.I find the closet to where im staying, their hours of operation and of course whats on their menu in terms of healthy eating.

I also finf the local GNC or other health food store and gym and get my supps and even some healthy meals through some of them especially some of the gyms that have healthy diners in them.

It takes a little more work than being at home but its doable.
