Should Great white sharks be protected?

Tweetthere are fewer sharks in the water but far more surfers and body boarders chancing it where they know there are great whites. its almost always a surfer or body boarder too. they are going out past the break where white sharks feed to wait for a wave with a silhouette like a seal.

5 people die a year by shark attack. over 1 million drown every year. i would say stay the hell out of the water because you might drown

TweetIm my opinion its no different than people who camp or hike in the wild and get attacked by a WILD mountain lion or bear! Then the next thing you know they kill the animal. Im sorry but its not the animals fault. We are shrinking their territory everyday and they have no place to go and people *****.

I know people are at the top of the evolutionary latter ( although these days we seem to be regressing at an astronomical rate) who are we to say another species needs to be extinct because someone got attacked??? As the others have stated,we are going into THEIR territory and when someone gets attacked theres and outcry of shock and surprise and the posse starts forming? Ive never actually heard of a shark swimming up onto the beach walking over to someones beach towel and attacking them.Nor have I heard of the entire shark race gathering together to eradicate another species out of hatred,racism,spite.religious or political beliefs or any other reason that humans have.

When that happens,then im all for it....LET WIPE EM OUT.Until then,stay the hell out of their areas.
