Tweetglad u are ok bowbow
TweetWent in yesterday to have some bone removed that had been blocking my nasal passages for a couple years now. I have been barely able to breath through my nose and any time I would get the slightest cold it would always turn into a sinus infection because it couldn't drain out. It was an in and out procedure which didn't seem to bad until this morning.
I had to get the packing removed. This is where it got interesting, The doc got a small plier type of tool and grabed onto a string hanging at the end of my nose and proceded to pull out what she called a nasal tampon. I about shit my pants, This thing was about 4 inches long and as wide as regular tampon. Boy did that hurt like a mother. Then I was like oh hell theres another one in the other side yet. I could'nt believe these things fit in my nose.
It did feel much better after they were out. I just popped a couple percocets and I'm getting ready to take a nap. It should be all better in a couple weeks. It sure will be nice to breath through my nose again.
Just thought I'd share my last couple of days with you all.
Tweetglad u are ok bowbow
Tweetstop doing all that snow and that won't happen
j/k bro glad to here that your ok
TweetKeep me posted please on your results. I have problems in my nose all the time. I used to live a wreckless recreational lifestyle a long time ago and I think I have ruined my nose because of it. The stupid shit we do all in the name of fun.
TweetDamn, that made me kind of queezy.
TweetThanks everyone, Doing pretty good right now. Just have to keep it moist. Wash it out with saline solution alot. Haven't done that yet. I can't blow my nose for first 7 days but I can suck it up threw and spit it out my mouth. Not sure why that's ok and the other isn't.
Not sure what caused mine, just excess and abnormal bone growth.
Tweeti was supposed to get the same thing done this summer. but the doc suggested i 1st try the steroids (sprays)... i've been on it for 5 months now. it's bit better...
she said if i get it removed it might come back...
TweetI have had those things jammed up my nose, no fun . At least they sprayed it with a couple of 'canes to numb it.
TweetI was completely under when they put mine in thats why I was amaized at there size.
This better not come back. But I have heard it is possible. I also tried sprays but they did nothing for all the extra bone that was in there.
Tweetin my case it's more the cartilage/bone that's bent in my left nostril...
it just appeared couple of years ago... i'm assuming either cuz it got inflamed at one point, or cuz i was in too many fights... no clue...
but it's really annoying.. if i go outside and it's cold it pugs up instantly... it really sucks...
TweetHmmm.. sounds like fun. Hope it heals quickly for you.
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.
TweetGlad everything is ok. Did you snore really loud before the surgery? A friend of mines is getting something like that done to treat snoring.
TweetNo it didn't make me snore just for the fact I couldn't get enough air threw my nose to snore. It's aready feeling alot better.
