TweetIts just wrong plain and simple
Wrong and should be illegal.
Wrong but shouldn't be illegal.
Nothing wrong with it all, thus it shouldn't be illegal.
TweetI just assumed most people would think dog fighting was immoral. Interesting thing though, since Vick has been busted for it; I've heard a lot more people trying to justify it than I thought there would be. I have heard people attempting to compare it to racing animals, slaughtering animals for food and even playing football, with the underlying premise of: how you treat your animals/pets is your private business.
So is organized dog fighting wrong?

Tweet....wow bro, you need to listen to a different class of people!! i dont know of anyone trying to justify that....

TweetWell take this into perspective....
In India, the cow is sacred. I don't know bout ya'll but I eat hamburgers and steak
In Korea and other Asian countries the dog is eaten as food. Where as in America I don't know a single person that eats dog.
TweetStout, if you're ever in NYC, holla, I'll take you to Chinatown, some delicious chihuahua in teriyaki sauce.
I was in Korea when I was in the Marines. I'm SURE I ate dog.
TweetI know it sounds like a cop-out but, I think it depends on the culture like Stout suggested. Here in the U.S., I think it seems wrong to the majority and prolly should be illegal because our culture dictates it so. If I were in a position to say across the board I'd prolly still go with it being wrong because it just doesn't seem humane. Yes, I'm fully aware of the conditions chickens are kept as well as pigs, etc... it's just that dogs seem to be in an entirely different class.
TweetOh and let me say thought I don't agree with dog fighting or any inhumane treatment of any animals. Dog fighting to me is cruel and inhumane.
The dog eating comment was just about other cultures and what is/isn't accepted. I don't think I'll ever give up eating cows b/c of someone else's beliefs but I also don't see myself trying dog either![]()
Tweeti'd kill a motha fuker for my dog!!! i'm sure plenty feel that way. i could give a shyt if other people/country's eat dog or not!! we're not in other country's, we're here, in the usa. and we dont do that shyt! other country's believe in child labor, slavery, and killing if you face the wrong way during prayer, that why i'm NOT there!...(cats?...thats different, BON APPETITE)

TweetActually, nevermind. People like me would get all exicted thinkin it was somethin else and you may get hurt.
Tweetit should have nothing to do with culture imo, when things feel wrong, they are..its a living animal, people have no right to kill them or make them kill eachother unless its for food or clothing.

Tweetyou dont have to "make" a pit bull fight. Pure instinct... just like you dont need to show a hound to sniff, or a pointer to point.....i have had pitbulls, and while i never participated in organized dog fights, i will tell you they love to fight, and will do so every chance they get...its what they were bred for for hundreds maybe thousands of years..is the dog just doing something they love? maybe...i know i dont have pitbulls anymore because of their obsession to fight anything around..to big of a liability...but i dont feel the way the old timers did it was cruel...they never killed a dog, and never let them fight to the death...these gangstas started this ...
TweetSame way I feel. Letting them fight is not bad, but letting them kill each other and or killing them after they lose is wrong.

TweetCouldn't have said it better myself. That and the fact that they use other animals as bait when they're muzzled, etc just goes beyond words.
Someone once equated this to boxing or MMA fighting. The difference is as a human we make the choice for ourselves, these animals are treated in the worst possible ways to get them to be as agressive as they are.
I know plenty of pits who are simply good loving dogs.
If an animal is used as food then so be it but I feel that really is a different topic.
