TweetHeck yea brother!! I'm jealous, wish I was a better fisherman!
TweetBass are schooling and feeding up for winter. we had a bumper crop of shad so there is a lot to eat. I was in my kayak and saw some shad looking nervous (you get it if you are a fisherman) I cast my wacky worm over to the school which jumped. I thought maybe i spooked whatever was shadowing them and the water erupted with bass.
i go bit immediately. set the hook and got this chub. great fight on light line. when I finally got the bass to the yak it was being followed by several more fish trying to get my stick bait. caught 4 like this before i lost the school. caught several dinks too.
great day of fishing. the wind was howling which makes it hard to fish. my brush anchor would not hold at all. still had a blast.
i love the fall, fat fish schooling like sand bass.
go fishing my friends take the kids or go solo. I used to think i did not have time. now I make time, and I sleep better, get a good tan and have a blast even if i do not catch anything it is relaxing. (which does not happen often)
