TweetHad him tied up so he would sit a minute for the picture. He could've dragged the whole picnic table and probably a truck with him if he wanted! Miss them both, dogs are such a blast.
TweetPicture of my Newfoundland - 250# male and my Doberman 70# female. Both gone now. Great companions and a lot of fun in general.

TweetThey are adorable Morgan! I'm sorry.
TweetDamn that's a big dog!
TweetThey were very much like the odd couple. BTW - the dobbie used to beat up on the Newfie all the time. She was real fast and would run away from him all the time.

TweetAww... they're so cute. it's too bad they're gone

TweetShameless bump for these two.

TweetMy doberman looks just like that one, but mine is a boy and about 70#. The red color is cool.
TweetI liked her much better without the ears bobbed and the tail clipped. She looked a lot more friendly.

TweetHow long did your Newfie live?
Tweet10 Years, which is unusual for them. They are subject to either heart failure or hip disease (because they're so big) which cripples them. He actually died of stomach cancer, just kinda wasted away until I put him to sleep.

TweetYep~that is long. Any big dog has a less life expectancy. Heartbreaking~I love big dogs! My shep is about 100lbs right now.Originally posted by Morgan

TweetMy weimaraner has a sever skin infection, she was at the vet for 6 days. I just got her back yesterday. It cost $493 for the treatment. I also have to spray stuff on her skin twice and day and give her medicine twice a day. Its a pain and is expensive, but I have to do it, can't let her suffer.
Tweetsorry for the loss
TweetI used to have to do that for the malamute. Plus a coal tar shampoo - nasty. A lot of that has to do with the oil glands along the dogs back. Causes a lot of problems sometimes. Costs more to go to the vet than it does your own doctor sometimes.
