  • Cardio to lower BF

Besides diet and training, how many minutes a day (1 time or 2) do you guys do to start lowering the fluff? I tweaked diet just a bit and already can see some changes along with more cardio sessions. It's only been a week since ive started. Currently I'm doing 25-30 minutes a day on the treadmill at 10% incline at 3mph fasted cardio first thing in the morning before the fam wakes up.

Thinking about throwing in another 25-30minutes a day of cardio starting tomorrow at the end of my gym sessions. Taking a small break from DC as my wife noticed I was getting ancy. So with that that'll be a total of 50-60 minutes a day of simple cardio.

I have a childhood friend Whois getting married in August, so I want to look good since its been a good 7 years since I've seen him. With that said, I got time on my side.

Just looking for tips and advice. Never really tried to get lean on my ow will. Always had sports to cover that for me ha ha.

    Thank you.

Same boat here. Im becoming obsessed with being ripped again. I like to mix it all up with lots of different stuff. I like walking outside, with a few short jogs thrown in. I also like short bursts like sprints or heavy bag rounds. I like the treadmill ok, but like outside better. Love the stepmill also. Treadmill is great when I have someone next to me to talk to LOL

Cardio coupled with diet is the key to getting lean. You can't out-train a bad diet. I know Ez that you eat clean, so I would recommend looking at Max-OT cardio as done by Skip LaCour. Do your normal fasted cardio in the morning, 30 minutes maybe sipping some BCAA's and then after training (not perfect but time is of the essence with a family) do the 16 minute Max-OT cardio on the recumbent bike. It is 16 minutes of hell especially after training. During this session, BCAA's are a must as you are already glucose depleted and catabolism is setting in after training.

If you need a link to Max-OT, let me know.

You want to look good for a dude you havnt seen in 7 years. Awwww that's cute. Just screwing with you. My advice is if you are feeling good and getting great results with extra cardio do it. If you feel like you are to thin and losing muscle back off a bit. As competitors and bodybuilders I think we over look our heart muscle sometimes so more cardio is good to exercise your heart and lungs. Good luck with your training bro.

I like to push the stroller around the block and hold my other daughters hand while big brother is at pre-k, but the damn weather here is so funny I rather not hassle them with getting them ready ha ha. It's mostly to just get out of the house though ha ha. Got the electrician to fix our breaker box so Ive been putting the treadmill to work a bit.

Thank you, I'll be hitting you up soon. Wife and kids just got back home from church while me and the little one hung out. Been keeping my protein the same as I was on DC, but switched out for 1/2 cup of green beans with meals instead of a cup of rice. Going shopping real soon for next weeks meals and stuff. Wife asked if I cold make her food for work too so I'll be doing that for her as well.

Ha ha! Mostly because I'm the best man, so I want to look good. Plus my other good buddy will be there and he's on the "supps" too so we always talk about how much weight we put on and such. Just using it as motivation, wife is liking what is happening. But like I mentioned above, it's only been a week so I'm excited to see what the days ahead of me bring.

Hour a day, melts the fat away...for me. Anything less seems like nothing happens.

1:30- 2hrs a day for me but right now I just do an hour either hitting my bag or on my stationary bike or just walk around and jog at the park late and night. But cardio + diet = forsure bodyfat is going to decrease.

                          Re: Cardio to lower BF

All last year I had "bakers cycsts" on the backside of both knees. Couldn't do cardio--at all without pain. 15 mins max and I would feel the pain for a day or two. Patience paid off and did a lot of stretching. It was a mindscrew thou as I had always done plenty of cardio. It's unbelievable to be back!

                              Re: Cardio to lower BF

i have just started witihin the last 2 weeks to doing 5 hours worth of cardio a week. i typically split that up into 30 min sessions on some sort of non boring machine or running around on the weekends in my lacrosse games. i try to achieve 30min morning fasted bcaa cardio, and then 30 min post workout cardio. however my workouts now are geared towards anaerobic weightlifting to get that extra calorie burn out of it by focusing on 4 sets of 10 reps with no more than 30 second rest between...sucks ass balls galore. i think anabolics suggestion is a great one, and am looking into that as well, much rather shorten the time of cardio in half and get the greater benefit from the hit as well.
