weel you need to run it 6weeks imo. but ramp it up like 25mcg day 1-2 , 50mcg day 3-5 then 100mcg ed till you are ready to ramp down .ramping up is not as important as ramping down imo

I have the link saved in my favorites as this question comes up often and I always refer back to it when I use T-3.

this is what lunkhead posted over at CJM

if you decide to assume the risk of this drug (and I suggest you read as much as you can about it before you do, much like AAS) then use the LOWEST effective dose and the shortest time possible (no more than 8 weeks).

Most bodybuilders realize that this is the most catabolic natural substance known. They know that it will "eat thru" muscle and fat indiscriminately. The hope is that with adequate doses of AAS, you will preserve muscle mass. Unfortunately, they often don't remember that your heart muscle is not "protected" by AAS and is at least temporarily decimated by the T3 ==> thyroid cardiomyopathy. This type of heart failure can be irreversible and will end your life soon if you're unlucky enough to develop it.

This is a real problem and I have seen people die from it. There was a nutty local GP who used to give T3 to almost all of his patients for obesity, low energy, depression, CFS etc before he got his license yanked-- sometimes in astronomical doses and irrespective of their natural thyroid function. I've seen the results- people with eyes bugging out of their head (permanent) and refractory severe heart failure. Yep, they're pretty skinny too.

The rebound will definitely happen. Like our experience with AAS, some of us will spring back with our HPTA going full bore within a month or two but there is a poorly defined group of people who will remain suppressed for a year or more. And that would suck for you, bigtime.

So--- proceed if you think it's worth it but do so informed. Read more: www.thyroid.org
