Well, I was going to use humane traps and relocate them off my property, but heard that will take forever. Then someone said "Just shoot those damn tree rats!" Hmmm Maybe so. I am going to look into an air rifle .177 caliber. 1300 Feet per second from Walmart. It even says on the box "FOR PEST CONTROL"
Anyone have experience ridding their place of squirrels? I once had some get into my attic and once had one in the house.

we fed them to the dogs. the one's that we didint eat. you can youtube how to gut and skin them man. they make great stews and soups for sure. need to check your local disease rates during this time of year. they carry some pretty nasty parasites at certain times of year and you arent supposed to eat them during those times. they also are great at perfecting your shooting skills. aim small miss small

youtube brother. I have shot or trapped a few here and eaten them to the chagrin of my wife. my kid was down. trapping is slow and tedious but works. an apple slice with a pecan on top is the best bait. they are curious and will check it out pretty quick but once you get one they will not go near the trap sometimes for days if ever.

pellet gun is the best as they are more accurate than a BB and hit harder. squirrels are really hard to kill unless you get their head of their heart lungs. gut shoot em and they will crawl into your attic and die.

I have had $2000 worth of damage from the bastards.

also try fox urine to drive them off.

I got the gun and put the scope on it but I dont know jack shit about scopes and I dont know what the fuck Im doing when it comes to zeroing in a scope and all the rectical stuff they refer too. What a pain in the ass. I just want to load it, point it and shoot it. The instructions are complicated and assume you have some knowledge of this shit. But I will say this gun packs a whallop. I dont know if I have it in m e to shoot squirrels, but well see

top knob on the scope is up and down for the strike of the pellet. if you turn it clockwise it should move the strike up and counter will bring it down. side knob is left and right. clock wise should move it right and counter will move it left. sit you up a pellet bull target at the range it tells you and zero it in. best to use a shooting rest for zeroing in your scope. that's about as layman as i can get with zeroing in a new scope haha

Appreciate that guns. That helps. The instructions that come with the gun are terrible. It looks like it takes a screw driver to dial those knobs for the up and down and side to side. If that is so, then thats a pain in the ass, the other gun looked like you could dial it by hand.
I got some targets so I will set them up and try what youre saying.
