TweetWith the way things have gone so far, I'm glad the US invaded Iraq.

Tweetquestion.. wasn't the whole point of doing it because sadam had "weapons of mass destruction" or some bs like that...
i didn't see any yet tho...
Tweetgive it up loco, initially you said it was because we wanted "oil".
watch the news, they think they found a nuclear weapon underground plant, foxnews said the radiation radar was going crazy down there.
GG - You are a good man for being man enough to admit that bro.
TweetTrue...
But even if none are found, the Iraqi people have now been liberated. And it seems to have come fairly quickly, and without too much cost.
Won't be long now before Iraq can concentrate 100% on rebuilding and getting a democratic government put in place.

Tweethere we go again
Tweetteekahty you are right about that bro...... GG is a stand up guy. The name of the war is Iraqi Freedom and that is what the goal was in the first place. It should make everyone with a brain happy to see those iraqi people dancing in the street and taking down that statue. Must be a great feeling for those people, like being in jail for 30 years and finally getting set free.
And Loco, I can't believe you said those citizens were Kurds? In downtown Baghdad, geez.

here we go again
TweetC'mon guys, no need to jump on Loco.
He's got a legitimate point. The main reason the US said they wanted to invade is because of these WMD. While there's still a good chance some will be found, it's looking less and less likely each day.
Luckily this war seems to have come cheap as far as civilian and coilition forces. And because of that, I'm glad the US did what they did.

Alot of that footage is of the Kurdish minority groups that were heavily opressed by Saddam's regeim. The majority of the "human rights attrocities" you hear that Saddam has committed was against the Kurdish people.
I think the average citizen is happy that Saddam is gone, but I'm not so sure that they're happy enough to be dancing in the streets and stuff. Take a look at the thread titled "email from Iraq" (or something like that) for example.

Tweethehehe... k i won't start again...
(but yes i believe that most of those ppl were kurds, and yes the oil was partially the case, the WofMS was just a cheap excuse to justify the invasion) :p
but like i said i'm glad it's over...
