TweetNatural food diet equals health
Stop focusing on which foods you shouldn't eat and start choosing healthy natural foods.
Are you ready to get healthy? Are you ready to stop attempting fad diets and make a real lifestyle change? Well, you don’t need a $20 book or a club membership. All you need is to brush up on your nutrition facts and ask yourself one question when choosing food: Is this natural and healthy? Your body is a living thing – feed it fresh, natural, and living foods.
Instead of focusing on all the things you shouldn’t eat, try focusing on the things that are good for you. These include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, all-natural meats and dairy products, beans, nuts, and soy. You may have heard the suggestion that the healthiest food options are located around the perimeters of your local grocery store – and this is true. Try to avoid the processed and prepared food aisles and shop the produce section, meat counter, dairy sections, and bakery for fresh whole-wheat breads. Of course there will be a few things you'll need to hit the aisles for such as tea, honey, flour, nuts, and beans.
It’s really not difficult to eat a healthy diet that will keep you slim and energetic. Just don’t put unnatural and processed foods into your body. It will thank you immensely. And natural foods taste so much better. And make you feel so much better. You may have to learn a few new cooking techniques, but the good thing about eating healthy is that less cooking is better. Foods retain the highest amount of nutrients in their raw, uncooked state. You may want to steam your vegetables and learn to use spices and peppers, garlic, and onion to enhance your food.
There’s no reason you can’t eat lean white meats as part of a healthy diet, although many will argue that a vegetarian or vegan diet is the absolute healthiest. Just be sure to replace your protein sources with beans, nuts, and soy. The majority of your diet should be vegetables, followed by fruits, and then whole grains. In the next tier comes protein from meat, soy, beans, and nuts. The smallest portion should come from fats. A truly healthy diet does not include any refined sugar products. White flour and sugar are the most processed foods in our culture. But luckily, the trend is turning towards natural processes. You can’t go wrong though by eating food in their most natural state.
