TweetSaw this on another site. Its like $29 for 120 capsules. Seems pretty cheap and all the reviews on it seem unbelieveable. People saying they are eating junk and still loosing fat. Anyone heard of this stuff or know if it works?

What are PPAR's?

PPAR's (or Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors), are receptors in the nucleus of your cells. These receptors help control fat metabolism, energy balance, and glucose metabolism. Many pharmaceutical companies are working to develop PPAR based drugs, since they have huge implications with respect to obesity, liver disease, hypertension, cholesterol and diabetes.

How does Sesamin increase fat loss?

Sesamin and episesamin are chemicals that strongly activate PPAR-alpha, and increase mitochondrial and peroxisome activity. Basically this increases fatty acid metabolism significantly. Also, Sesamin increases the expression of a mitochondrial enzyme known as carnitine palmitoyl transferase. Carnitine palmitoyl tranferase is an enyme that shuttles fatty acids to the mitochondria, making more fatty acids available for use as energy. When you take Sesamin it can be like putting your fat on a one-way bus to the fat furnace. To top it off Sesamins activation of PPAR-alpha increases the production of "uncoupling proteins" (UCP's). TweetTypical marketing hype!!! Do you really think someone can sit on their ass all day and lose weight? I think not. There is no subsitute for proper diet and cardio. The diet pills are just an aid!

This obese woman was on Dr. Phil the other day crying because her husband calls her a fat ass. She takes 14 diet pills a day but still can't lose weight? I wonder why?
