TweetWell, it's not Panama City, that's for sure. lol
Never been but I've heard all good things about it.
TweetI may have the opportunity to go in a month or two.
If you've been how would you rate it compared to other tropical destinations you've been to? Did you stay on the French or Dutch side?

TweetMy ex was born on the French side. I've never been, but she said it's a beautiful place. I'd definitely go.
Tweetmy wife has a time share there, never been tho
TweetLooks like I may have to seal the deal...
TweetBeen there about 4 times. The French side is much nicer than the Dutch side, but they treat Americans like dirt on the French side. Phuquing french frogs. But it is a very nice island. Some areas you feel like "OMG, I'm in the city of Detroit!!", but it's very safe. It's just the way they live. The funniest thing is the airport. The airport is some 3rd world country airport. They back the planes aaaallllll the way up to this chain link fence, which is the end of the runway. Then, they rev the engines as fast as they can go with the brake on. They release the brake, and you go 0 to 150mph in under 8 seconds. If you don't get above the mountains, you're doomed. The beach is about 200ft away from the airport. When the planes take off, they have so much force, the waves that are about to crash on the beach are literally blown backward from the engines. You've never seen anything like it before in your life. Picture this big 10 foot wave about to crash down, then all the sudden it's blown backwards. It is soooo cool. There are video's of planes landing in St Marteen. You have see it. Go to Break.com, and search something like "Plane landing Saint Marteen". It's a cool video. Oh, and the booze there is pennies on the dollar compared to the states. A bottle of Grey Goose down there is about $12 compared to $35 up here. Damn import taxes.

I've seen some of those video clips of the planes landing in St. Maarten. Pretty amazing. Those people standing on the beach with their camcorders are insane. LoL
TweetYou get knocked over in a heart beat. I've seen people standing on the beach viseotaping several times. It's funny when they fly like 5 feet in the air and fall! On the Dutch side, there's a great bar called "The Indiana". It's a cool little outdoor bar, like 90% of them on the island are. The cool thing about this one, is they have a buy one get one free special from like 8:00am to 8:00pm! LOL! It's a drinkers haven.
There are some very nice beaches too. Some topless, some totally nude. But don't be fooled. The totally nude beaches aren't like you see in movies. It's usually women that look like Rosie O'Donnell, and bigger. Cupacoy beach is very nice. Rough surf, but good beach. A lot of the beaches on the French side have to really cute girls.

I can drink like a fish 'when I put my mind to it', so I'll definitely have to check out The Indiana.
I dunno about the nude beaches. I think I'd feel weird with my stuff swaying in the wind around everyone. LoL Rosie O'donnell NO THANK YOU.
A buddy of mine said that they have brothels there as well. Not that I would ever visit such a place! But just for informational purposes, is this true? LoL
TweetI heard that the Virgin Isles are getting way over commercialized and even tho the beaches are nice, its mostly a tourist trap now. I personally would go to like Antigua, Nevis, Barbuda, etc, something that is alittle more secluded where you still have very beautiful beaches, restaurants, but less of the ppl pushing sales and crowds.
Tweetnever been there but ive been to st thomas and st john, which were real nice--take a boat to the british virgin islands if you can for a day
