TweetThis is a big problem in our research these days - everyone who does any kind of expensive research needs to be funded and they also need to keep those who fund them happy. Man Made Global Warming is a prime example - the government wants more control over the people so they fund groups who say more control is needed, meanwhile the fossil fuel companies fund those who say mankind is not to blame.

The government funds the "who cares if you exercise, it is fast food's fault" groups - so they can regulate what you eat more...so McDonalds funds the groups to counter the claims made by the government funded groups. In the end, we all lose.
