Obviously use your accountant, if you have one, if not best too get someone familiar with the process and knows all the rules, makes a difference.

First thing, find out how many years your auditor has, most likely you'll have some person 2 yrs. out of school, just getting feet wet in business audits.

They actually act like any other business, they have a file, and they want too win, that is what they need to report back to a superior, so you need to give a little, not be a pain, and make it all go away asap so they can get a win and move onto next file.

Of course, unless it is all out war, and then who knows.
