Tweetnext to none if your opening them correctly
highly unlikely.
Remember glass amps are used throughout the world in hospitals so it is not as if they are dangerous.
I always used a hand towel when I broke mine. Worked like a charm.
TweetWhat are the chances of a speck of glass getting in the syringe, when you draw from a glass amp? And if it does get injected in you, will it cause an infection?

TweetIf you did get a piece when you draw it up, if your using say an 18 to draw and a 23 to inject, it would more that likely plug the needle.

Tweetand if your really worried bd sells 18 gauge 11-/2 pins with a mesh screen to keep any glass from getting in the syringe. they're pretty spendy though.

TweetGlass juice it's all the same!! lol
Tweetjust be aware
TweetI think it's highly unlikely. If you're that worried, get an amp opener to open them up nicely.
I bend but I do not break.
TweetI hear you on that hand towel spiderbaby, Thats what I use.
Tweetit is very unlikely that the little glass will go through the pin size for injection, if anything just clog it.....you should be fine
TweetI had a piece draw up with the 18g. When I tipped the pin upwards the little bubbles went up and the little speck of glass went down... I just turned the pin needle down..let the glass settle and shot the piece in the sink.. wasted a little juice but figured it was better than a speck of glass in my quad
I dont care if it kills me... as long as I look good in the box
Tweetman that would be horrible if you injected one of those....
the doc would be cutting your muscle up to try and fish it out, youd be fuked. imagine how long it would take to find it too.....
TweetI think it would work it self toward the surface and come out eventually just like a splinter.....No ?
TweetIt would just get covered in a layer of scar tissue. I have several chips of bone floating around in my foot. the scar tissue keeps the sharp foreign object from causing any more damage.

TweetWell think how small the shard would have to be to make it through say a 25 guage needle. I mean Im not sure its even possible and if so not likely. And if it did it would be small I dont think it could do too much harm - dont you guys think? I mean ppl have shotgun pellets, bone chips, other misc. stuff in them all the time and nothing happens. I broke an ICN pretty bad just today and got a lil freaked that there would be glass in it. I looked in the barrel real close and didnt see anything. Plus I figured with a 25 needle nothing could get through. Makes me a lil paranoid though.
