TweetMy sensei's son decided that after 4 years of me doing the travel arrangements for the dojo for our treks to nationals, that he would take over and do it this year. I always had everyone's booking done by late february before the prices for fuel started going up for vacation season and higher prices. We got to early march and i'm asking well, are we booked yet? and the reply was that he was waiting for the email that would tell him he could book tickets for $10 through Skybus. So FINALLY in late March he announces that since "WE" waited too long he couldn't get the $10 tix and he got us booked for $150 each person but the plane doesn't fly into Charlotte so we have to get ground transportation from Greensboro SC to Charlotte NC, another almost $80 a piece. I said dude, i told you back in february that i could get us on US Air for $253 right into Charlotte and the hotel has a free shuttle to and from the airport. So i'm getting my tat worked on saturday night and on the news i hear the lead in story that Skybus has gone belly up and is bankrupt and will cease service immediately. Lucky enough the bonehead took the flight insurance in case of a cancelled flight so we got our funds back but now it will cost us $375 each. I am so doing my own sh it next year. Now i gotta pull another $225 out of my a$$ that i don't have, motherfocker!!
