No friggin way. I agree with Fabio. $100,000 don't mean squat if your dead. And right now with all the car bombings and suicide attacks, it's not worth it.

I wouldn't do it but then I don't have training in that field and wouldn't be hired in the first place. I'd leave that up to the retired/former Marine Recon, Green Berets and Seals.

Hell no! You can make that much working the lobster boats in 6 months. It's just as dangerous though. There is a high death rate on that job and you work all the time but you only work for like 6 months and the off 6 months. But to be a bullet catcher, no way. The only bullet I'd catch is for my family.

In Lebanon, they bury you 7 feet down with your ass sticking out of the ground. That way your friends have a place to park their bikes.

Are you sure it is tax free?? As when you enter back into US you legally have to declare income. I would make sure on that before signing up. Anyway, 100K is not really as much as you would think nowdays. If you are very skilled in security, fighting skills, weapons, tatics, and single, it would be maybe a good opportunity, but there are very good jobs in this if you have the right kind of experience here without putting yourself in that much danger.

I have no choice in going to Iraq and I'm heading back real soon. My pay is nothing near that, we don't get overtime like the civilians. BUt to answer your question, HELL NO! I wouldn't volunteer to do security in that shithole. Have you been there?

No shit, and pararescue and combat controllers too. Hey, why is it that people think the Marine's recon is special forces. It is NOT! I know they are still a tough unit but they are not an elite unit like seals, rangers, and pararescue and combat controllers.
