TweetThis shit is the real deal. Learning how to fuck people up and/or defend yourself. First day of class we did boot camp type drills already and learned all kinds of fighting. Real easy, real quick and real practical fuck people up shit. I took Ishinryu and tae kwon do for several years before but this is nothing like it. It's nothing fancy and it's not an art. It was developed for the Israeli top military forces and now it's practically mandatory for our special forces and even Swat Teams to learn. It hasn't been around in the States for a long time and there aren't that many schools around so I'm happy to be part of this very effective fighting style. If you have places around you I urge you to try it out and see for yourself. Make sure they have the official Krav Maga association logo on it though because as 3vandoo said before there are alot of wannabi's out there.
Being defeated is sometimes only a temporary condition. Giving up, makes it permanent......
It takes alot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there's no real security in what's no longer meaningful. There's more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life and in change there is power......

TweetGlad its going well. I havnt found a real KM gym here yet. Although I have met an individual who trained in Tai kwon do in korea for 15 years. He is a client of mine and assures me that he can teach me a effective offensive break things and kill people stuff
:p. He has been training/teaching for 30 years. I dont want to start though and it isnt what I want. him being a client makes it a bit more difficult if it isnt what I want.

TweetThx bro. I'm hooked. I sighned up for the group classes for the year already. 1300$ including the fighting gear we get. He does teach private classes as well for 60$ a session. I'm sure I will be taking that once in a while as well just to get full undivided attention to get on point with my skills. After 16 sessions you get to choose if you want to attend a night class which includes full contact fighting(with full pads of course).Originally posted by blm9376

Tweetsounds enjoyable. I havent heard too much about it but everything I have heard has been positive. realworld stuff like what to do if you have a pistol pointed at your face and moves that can stun and incapacitate an attacker. I am glad for ya stick with it and have a good time.
