Read the geneva convention dude. These are the rules. We do not kill people with torture, we cause discomfort, fear, yes. Do you believe the USA is a good country? The people we capture are BAD. We are on the side of GOOD. We want to protect ourselves. We play by the rules.

So, we use these enhanced techniques on high-level suspects that ARE believed to have information that could harm the USA. These are hardened terrorists that have been trained in resisting interrogation, vowed to kill as many men, women, and children as they can while they are killing themselves. You cannot have it both ways. Either you grab these thugs by the nape of the neck and shake it out of them, scare them so badly they never want to mess with us again, or else you reap what you sow with this pacifist talk. As I said, these thugs are not covered under the geneva conventions. the world knows this. Our men and women in uniform are not cutting heads off on the internet. They are not intentionally killing civilians, as these thugs target civilians. I am glad we are in iraq. President Bush is doing the right thing. As you know, the right thing is often the most difficult and unpopular thing. After 9/11 my President and Vice President said "the gloves are coming off", and he did it. The path of least resistance is just that--what we are doing is not the path of least resistance. Al Queada did not understand who they were messing with when they picked a fight with the USA. Bottom line, if youre a coward that wears no uniform, wants to kill innocent civilians on the internet, rape, murder, and kidnap all for the insane cause of bringing down "the great satan"--the islamofascists' term for israel and the usa...you deserve what you get if we find you in your spider hole and drag you out. Now, if as in WW2, we were fighting a nationality with a standing army, per the geneva conventions, I would agree with you. The islamofascists are lucky, IMO, that Bush didnt pull a tactical nuke out of the quiver after 9/11. I believe our response has been very measured and restrained compared to what could have happened in the aftermath of 9/11.

Yeah but these suspects don't have a right to face their accusers or the evidence against them. They are exactly that, suspects. Lets say someone steals your identity and starts doing a lot of treasonous activity that could be interpreted as terrorism; now your a suspect - that phucking sucks!
