Tweetmy kid just had his last game...he was on kickoff...he loved it, but even at 12 i seen him get his gage rattled a couple times...its a shame...its a ruff sport...they are modern day gladiators!! without the sowrds and lions!!
TweetMan, this is scary. It didnt look like anything out of the ordinary. A clean tackle, except thet it looks like he was leading with his head.
I hated being on kickoff team. You are coached to run full speed and sacrifice your body. I ended up in the hospital one time after getting the hell knocked out of me on a kickoff. I felt an electrical shock go thru my whole body and then My body went limp and I had no feeling. They carried me off the field. I was never the same player after that.
.
Prayers for his full recovery. That one guy for Buffalo got paralyzed like that and he is now walking and doing fine.

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
Tweetman I hate that. Isn't that 1 of 3 hard helmet-to-helmet hits last weekend?
That was a pretty clean tackle, except for him driving his head 1st. He might''ve thought the receiver was gonna cut left or something, and that would've put his shoulder on him. but nope. Straight through the head down the spine. That's a big boy too. He has twice the weight in his hit, which went straight to his head/neck & back. terrible. I hate to see that. It is a dangerous sport. I'm really surprised that there aren't many more career ending hit on a seasonal basis. It's rare compared to what I would think.
Hit like this remind me of 1 coach that allowed personal fouls, late hits, late hit on the qb, chop-blocks, etc...his whole damn career. And this coach, Mr. Bobby Bowden, let it happen, never chewed any asses for doing it during his 33yrs at FSU. That's why when someone says what a great coach and icon Bowden was for the game, I call bullshit right quick. He was nasty. "admin style" coaching from 50yrds away from the line. Letting his players play as nasty as I've seen any college team play. "letting". He didn't just turn a-blind-eye. He allowed it, and his players knew it, or they wouldn't have been so active in dirty play.
uck Bobby and his bs years at head-coach! piece of shit. Get it honest Bobby.
I hope this guy recovers, and can continue a career in the game he loves.
TweetThat is terrible! Football is a tough sport man. Like the announcers said, those things usually turn out okay. It just makes it really tough when they don't.
I agree with horsepwr, I am very surprised that these kinds of injuries don't happen more often than they do.

TweetI hope he is alright man
TweetLooks pretty clean. I have seen worse hits and they both walk away. I pray he recovers from this.
