TweetSome feedback would be nice too. See i am trying to get him to stay. I know it is stingy but what the hell.
Bodybuild
Border Patrol
TweetOk, so my work out partner applied forthe US Border Patrol last back in March of this year, well it seems as though he may be going to the Academy as soon as February 2004. Well This is great and all and i am happy for him, BUT we had made plans to both compete in a show in July 2004 together.
He said that the BP said they could postpone the Academy for one year but there were no guarantees. He says that he loves the GYM and that makes him happy.
What do you guys think he should do? Stay here and continue to Bodybuild or go to some stinky ass Government job.
TweetSome feedback would be nice too. See i am trying to get him to stay. I know it is stingy but what the hell.
TweetDepends on his situation. Does he have a good job now? Is the BP a big jump in pay or a job that he's always wanted. He might be looing at it as a stepping stone to getting on a police force or something similar. Is he married or have a family to support?
If its something he really wants to do, then you should support his decision as a friend. If you lift long enough, you will go through more workout partners then you can remember. Just my 2 cents.
Tweethe is not married no family to support, he is only 20. I support him completely, but he is the one that actually suggested that one possibillity be that he stick around for another year. since he said that i kinda got excited and thought just maybe he would stick around. yes it would be a huge jump in pay for him.
and i have already gone through so many workout partners it is crazy. he has lasted the longest.
TweetBelieve me I know the feeling about workout partners. I'm on #4 in a little over a year. It's an inside joke at my gym that people quit working out after they train with me for a few months.
TweetHES GOT TO GO WITH THE EXTRA PAY OVER A COMP
Tweetnot the answers i am looking for.
TweetSORRY BRO
Tweetif it's a good paying job, i'd go for that...
TweetIf it's between a job and a competition, then the job, of course. But, if he's hesitant for other reasons, then maybe he should stay. The Border Patrol is a rough job. Long hours and those fuckers can send you anywhere. You could get San Diego, CA or some town with a population of about 12.
For me, I'd pass on the BP. He's young and their are too many other options. JMHO
TweetFinally some one who sides with me! wooohooo
TweetGO FOR THE PAY

Tweetok look everyone i appreciate the feedback and all but the bodybuilding one only has one vote! c'mon lets try to fix that
TweetIf border patrol is what he really wants to do then he needs to go that route. To pass on a job just for a show isn't very smart unless the gym and competting are paying the bills in some way. sorry but the job has got to come first.
