The NRA fully supports ENFORCING current gun laws. For those that don't realize it....it's already illegal for teenagers to have handguns!

I wish that for every shooting death, stats would be posted that showed whether the gun used was legal. The majority of guns used in crime were not purchased legally. More laws will not help...enforcing existing laws will!

And what laws in the US there is, for me a poor canuck looking at it where we have a fascist government running it, I see chaos and anarchy. We have a gun that law, that prohibited most of automatic weapons, clips of more than 10 rounds etc... This happened after a petition of millions of names, after the killing of 14 women at the University of MOntreal in 86

But that subject is so hot in the US, I wont even go talking about the second amendement

Tweetillegal guns are not just stollen property of others, most of them come from store theft and stollen shipments or the original moldel is modified to carry higher capacities, or to shoot rapidly. plus gun laws very from state to state, in New York, and the upper north eastern states it is extreamly hard to owen a hand gun, and in jersy you need a permit just to owen a compound bow. crime with fire arms will never be stopped, sad to say, look at England where it is illegal to owen fire arms, and they still have shootings, not as much as the us, but it is still there. I think that if there is more attention payed to the sales of illegals and offenders. Only in some states you can have a permit to owen a automatic wepon, but let me tell you, they go thorugh every thing that they can to find out what your all about, even down to who your friends are, witch they should. also remember that not every state allows you to have a concealled wepons permit, the laws are there, they just need to be enforced with more detail. The education of fire arms , and fire arm saftey is very important. parnents should also have to take some responsibllity in there childs life, and their actions.
I grew up around fire arms, and was tought proper saftey, and have never had an accident, or even a close call, cardnal rull, always treat a gun as if it were loaded, and keep the barrel in a safe diretion, and always treat a gun with repect. I anjoy going to the range and putting holes in a paper target from 500 yards away. The 2nd amenment is just 1 part of american freedom,and it would be a pitty to see it lost for lack of responsibility, and compasion for fellow man, murders will happen, and accidents will happen, they'ev been going on since the dawn of time and will continue weather it be with guns or a knife or a swift blow to the back of the head, butt I think we can try to do our best to prevent the un nessisary.

About the UK, it is illegal in England except for hunting and even then. But, it is quite legal to buy whatever you want in Northern Ireland, and more easilly avalaible to you if you are protestant and loyalist, weird eh.

Also, a government that call itself one, must have all the means of coercion in his powers, the US never did that. So theorically speaking, it is still an Anarchy.

Think, why are the best lawers so expensive? and why do the supper rich get of the hook, or just a slap on the wrist. For instance when the movie Bad Boys2 was being filmed, the director wanted to shoot film of a boat chase going through a fedderal marine sancturay, where a lot of manitees hang out in the summer. No boating traffic is alowed thorugh this area. well guss what, Jeb pulled strings and allowed them to shoot. I'm not sure if any of you ever swam with a manitee, but thay are amazing!
