TweetGo to control Panel then to Appearance and Personalization...that should let you change screen brightness, resolution etc...thats the only thing I can think of...good luck
Tweeti have a hp laptop. in the day light, inside a building, it very hard to see the screen. it seems that SOMETIMES it adjusts and is lighter...but i didnt adjust it. but, most days, you really have a very hard time seeing the screen....and the sun is not shining on the screen...its just bright inside. is there an adjustment somewhere on here...i've looked but i cant find it. i dont know why sometimes it seems brighter

Tweetyea...did that..didnt change it as i would like...it brightened everything, but not right....its like it on "dim" or something!!! like your radio does at night when you put the headlights on!!! during the day, its supposed to be brighter!! i cant get it brighter

TweetWell it could be a bad bulb behind the screen. My Dell went out and my Toshiba is going out now. Normally you can tell by the top of the screen starts getting dimmer or discolored. You can adjust it on your key board with the Fn Function button and the sun shaped logo on the keys. Different computers put them on different keys. If your screen is ok you should be able to adjust it on the key pad as you need to.
TweetGo to Control Panel and click on Performance Information and Tools. You can set the comp for the highest level of performance, but i prob will use more of your battery life.
