I need some tips on how to get bloodwork done and not be chastised by a Physician. They will know what's up when my test levels are through the roof.

I want to make sure I am in decent health while on AAS and hGH.

What would be the best way to go about doing this?

I don't know what to say really.
My doc knows what I do, I don't see any reason to hide something from the guy who is supposed to make sure I'm healthy.
That and all he has to do is look at me and he would know.

I guess if you can't trust your doc it would time to find a new one.
If it's just the lecture you're worried about, just be mature about it and explain it's a matter of personal choice. If he can't apprciate that even if he's opposed to the usage then it's time to find a new doc.
I got the lecture a few weeks back but he knows full well I would continue to use.
He was worried about some liver values and wanted them to come down a bit. I was off at the time and went in for follow up bloodwork a couple of weeks and it regulated itself.

I'm sure he knows I'll be back on soon!

One other thing - they don't typically check your test levels unless you specifically ask.

      I had to.

If you dont want to tell him then just say you want routine blood levels checked cause you workout and are taking new supps and want to see what effect they are having on you. Or just ask for it to see how healthy you are, its not uncommon for people who dont use to get bloodwork done and a yearly exam for there health.

Sal and Corrodo are both right. First unless you tell him you have symptoms that would be synonomous with low testosterone levels docs usually dont check these levels unless you ask them to. Just go in and tell him you want a check up to see how healthy you are b/c you have not had one in a while. He will prob. do your lipid, bun and creatnin, choelsterol and CBC. These are plenty as an overall set of tests.

I started a few years ago and said that someone I know died at an early age and I'm getting close to 35 and wanted to get a blood work up done to see if there are things I can prevent. I usually will go to two different places and try to get it done twice a year. Of course, there have been times in the last few years where I was off for over 18 months (letting my rotator heal) so I didnt' go then. So, for me in my mid 30's to show a general interest in my heatlh usually doesn't raise any red flags but I get chastized for my weight. I'm 250 at 5'10'. They pull out that stupid BMI thing and I'm like 'don't even pull that thing out, run my blood work, give me a physical test and check my BF, then let me know what you think.' I've been high on the BMI since I was in HS. I'm supposed to be 175 pounds to be in the normal weight range. Yeah right, so I have 75 pounds of fat on me? Yeah, ok, I think I would have way more than a 36 waist if that was the case. I've seen guys who are my height and 250 with high BF, and they weir like 40+ in the waist. I can actually fit into less than a 36 in the waist but my legs and butt make it impossible. So, anyways, just tell them you have a general interest in your overall health to see where you are while it's easier to correct.

I was LEAN as hell when I played baseball in JR college. Then I went to a 4 year school and just lifted and ate. I was prob 190 @ 7% when I left and came back home from school around 250 13-14%, so it wasnt all quality lean muscle but I wasnt fat azz either. I didnt start lifting to get big really till a year after jr college and got up to 230 natty and then took aas around 21 and went to 250 pretty quick on my first cycle.

However my main point is whether you tell your doc or not you should get work done to see how healthy you..

Thanks to everybody for the good advice.

I believe that honesty is the best policy in life. However, when honesty puts my ability to keep healthcare coverage for me and my family at risk I tend to be more selective with what I share and don't share with my Doctor.

Believe me, I wish I had a Doctor that is cool, discreet, and trustworthy. I would love to have the advantage of medically supervised cycles. However, I haven't found the right Doctor to take care of me...yet.

I will write down the tests you guys listed and heed the advice given. I want to be sure I am healthy for me and my family.
