TweetGot rear ended about 4 wks about, by some lady. I picked up my dad 89yr to do some grocery shoping and had stopped for a light. Was sitting there about 10 seconds and some woman, not looking and talking to her friend in the car slams into my car. While i didn't have to pay for damages. I had to get a few estimates and take off work etc. It took in all, about five wks to finish,as they had to order a bumper. Well Friday i get this subpoena in the mail to appear in court. Its the woman who hit me. I had to take off work to go. Well im stittin in the courtroom for hearing and some guy calls me back and says " Mrs. xxx has a perfect record and we decided to give her a fine of $70. and no points." You can go home". This pisses the hell out of me, as i called her when i first got into the accident to see if we could workout something between us, and she told me that she had some tickets before and she took them to court and all she had to do was pay the fine. Well this is why she has a perfect record, as every time she gets tickets or accident she gets them droped. I almost felt like calling the judge and telling him! $70 isn't shit with all the time and agravation i had to go though.

TweetThe woman was like in her 50's and with i think her sister-in-law as i talked to her alittle after accident we waited cause i called 911 to dispatch a cop to the scene. she said i guess i wasn't paying attention. Hell, i didn't even hear her slam on the brakes when she hit. She also wasn't afraid to tell me that she worked for an insurance company. I just wish the judge would have taken the time to hear my side, cause chances are she'll do it again and maybe next time it will be a kid instead of a car.

TweetYes, but i have a Cad Escalaide. That what i was driving then. Good thing i have the broad collision, cause i would have had to pay the dedcutable. The more i think about it the more it pisses me off. I bet if i hit an older womans car that it would not have been the same situation. So far i've served in court three times and in all cases the hearing were tainted. Alot of ppl just either don't want to be there so they don't care about what they say, or things are done behind closed doors in favor of the defendant.
