Tweetthats great to hear kiddo!!!! i hope that cloud moves east!! lol
TweetI guess it is about priorities. I had to work yesterday and the salon was rockin! All of my clients spent at least $100 to have their hair done and one ticket was $160 plus the tip she gave me. Haven't seen much of a decline at our salon. Thank goodness!

Tweetthat's good,
it's also about what area of the country u are in
in dallas, we have plenty of jobs, good jobs, and we have no state income taxes because royalties on earl and natural gas pay for alot of stuff, kind of like alaska
we have yet too see people pull in the purse strings here
we do have though local governments with problems, they cannot get bonds passed, and are losing the taxes they counted on, so our growth will be limited locally due to tax receipts
TweetIt is ironic to see less people at the local grocery store and more people eating out. Makes you wonder if it is cheaper to eat out. Still seeing lots of people at restaurants.

TweetIt's hit hard here. I've seen stores and restaurants closing up. The restaurants are just about empty. During the busiest times of the day there aren't long waits.
There have only been 54 house sold this year in the town where I work. Unemployment rate is at 7% right now. Even the Mexicans are moving out of town because they can't find jobs. It was 42% Mexican. They are foreclosing on their houses and moving out of town.
We are still making three house payments. Our houses have been on the market for 1yr and 9 months. I've drop the price on my for the third time now. We just don't have extra money for any. I've cut out all extra spending.
I will find out today if the company I'm working for has been sold to a competitor and what will happen to our jobs.
Tweetshyt closing up all over here...everything is doon and gloom. there's almost nowhere to turn for positive news. we sure could've used the lions to have a good season going right about now...give people something to chear about. it's tuff to be surrounded by darkness all fukin day!!

TweetIts bad here too. Charlotte being such a large banking hub has hit this area hard. My wife was part of the Wachovia layoffs but she was fortunate she landed with Regions Bank. But still with Regions there isn't a whole lot going on in commercial real estate so they are slow too.
I'm down to 5 clients. Before the market collapsed I was working with more than 20 people (most were bankers). We have no extra loot for anything and are even thinking about selling our house.
Tweetscalley,
if u don't mind, what do you do
that is a drastic reduction
i wish you and yours luck
hang tough which i know u will do
TweetI train triathletes. It is obviously a luxury to spend money on your triathlon coach so I'm finding out the job security in a declining market is not that great. I have a degree in sports science so in a bad market its hard to do anything.
TweetI am also working with a friend to develop a personal training website. Hopefully this is going to be a way to keep up with the trends and declining market to put a cost effective alternative out there. Everything will be done through the website so without the one-on-one time the cost will go way down for the client. They will have to be their own motivator which is often times the biggest problem. We'll see how it goes.
Tweetas a success coach, i know about a hundred, i've always been personal one and one, my prefrence
the ones who have done and do well, do it online
u spend more time marketing than coaching for the first few years, yet, then u are set
good luck
TweetI appreciate it brother!
TweetMy husband's business is down 75%! This time of the year he is usually book solid three months out. He's been luck to get one job a month. He didn't have any business at all from December - April. That's 5 months... zero income!
