Tweetyou may want to spread the word to family and friends that September 17th is Constitution Day. Often this is observed as a week-long acknowledgment, beginning on the 17th of September.
Now's a good time to stock up on those pocket Constitutions to pass out, read the Constitution aloud to friends and family, and point people to relevant websites, such as the following:
- ConstitutionCenter.org
- National Constitution Center's Constitution Day page
- The Constitution Society
- Learn About Liberty
- NEH's Constitution Day page
- Education World's Constitution Day Lesson Plans (good for homeschoolers, or anyone who wants to do lessons about Constitution Day)
- The Constitution for Kids (Kindergarden through 12th grade)
- U.S. Constitution.net
- The Preamble, broken down and explained
- Constitution Facts - take the quiz: what's your Constitution I.Q.?
UPDATE: More linky goodness! --
- Constitutional Rights Foundation
- CRF's Constitution Day page
- A to Z Teacher's Stuff - Constitution
- Center for Civic Education
