b-12 Dr. says bad???

TweetOk, I have been using injectable b-12 and the other day I gave a shot to a friend. Anyway, she went in to the doctor and told him that she had a shot of b-12 and the doctor freaked out on her. He told her that the tablets were better and that injectable b-12 will mess her up. From what I read excess b-12 is urinated out, so there is no danger of build up. Just wandering if the b-12 shuts down any production in the body, and if there is any truth in the doctors reasoning?
