How does everyone go about figuring out their calorie intake. I've got a lot of good advice from people. Was just curious. Does everyone figure out their BMR or do you let the numbers just fall where they fall. Meaning say your Bulking- to find your bulking calories do you say
Bodyweight x ? = calorie intake and adjust as needed or do you say well I'm going to eat 3grams of Carbs per lb. of Bodyweight,
2grams Protein per lb. of Bodyweight and .5 - 1gram of fat per lb. of bodyweight. Chris Aceto calls it the 31 approach. Just curious. Im putting together the info. I already have and sorting through it for my bulking, cutting, and maintance nutrition.

those formulas never worked for me. what i did was track all my calories for 2 weeks and divided by 14 to get a rough estimate.

now, by keeping track of everything in my nutrition journal, i havent had to figure out how many calories i have to eat in years. everything is right there for me to see.

      cut, gain or maintain.
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

.....the basics need to be lifted high in this age of retarded new wave info. dave draper
