TweetWhite rice and bread are rifined and bleached for maximum whiteness. This process depletes them of their natural nutrients. Brown would be your best choice.
TweetOH BTW ..I use a little bit of Molly Mc butter on mine and thats all......
TweetI personally use basmati rice.
It is only a little bit higher in GI than brown rice, something like 2-3 points and it tastes fantastic.
My trainer (australian IFBB pro) recommended it to me and I personally think its great.
You don't get as many nutrients as brown rice, + the fibre etc. but I think its a great carb source.
TweetBrown rice is only better if the ingredients don’t say, “enriched”. If Enriched is in brown rice or bread, it is processed and not a whole food.
Tweet"If Enriched is in brown rice or bread, it is processed and not a whole food."
Meant to say, If Enriched is in the ingredients for brown rice or bread, it is processed and not a whole food.
