The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. TweetI wouldnt do either, i would shoot for a happy middle, not cutting, as in doing a CKD or low carbs, but not going apeshit and bulking. Try somewhere around maintenance cals and high protein, clean moderate carbs, and good fats, and you shoudl have a nice change in LBM, adding muscle, while losing fat. IMO, you will get too fat bulking if you are already on the heavy side.

TweetI agree with Pro. I think maintenance cals, clean carbs and high protein with a good cycle, you will be most happy with the results.
