Yesterday when I was at the gym I started chatting with a lady who was on the bike next to me. I tend to be pretty animated and positive when I'm exercising, and I guess I gave her a pretty good pep talk. She's pretty obese, but she's trying hard, and I gave her a lot of props while we talked. Anywho, when I went back to the gym today she was there, and she told me that she had just about given up on trying to lose weigh, but that my talking to her yesterday reinstated some confidence and good vibes within her, and now she's pumped up about exercising again. This made me feel really good, and it pumped me up to work out, too.

Good job Bro. I don't care how over weight or out of shape a person is- if they are in the gym making an effort, you need to take the time to tell them "Way to Go". They are sooooo much better than the average lazy person that I have no respect for!

Hey, thats pretty cool of you do help her out! So many women lack self esteem and need a kick in the butt to really make them realize that they need a reality check. Its sad to think there are so many women out there that would be so pretty if they just lost some weight and toned up a bit.

Exactly right Deep. I give props to those that are at least trying to better themselves emotionally and physically than those that i see at BK, DD, MD's etc.

I did have a conversation with a lady on the stairmaster. She was not thin but rather thick. Could probably stand to lose 20 lbs or so. When i was chatting she told me EVERY night she eats a pound or so of pasta. She absolutely loves it and the only reason she comes to the gym is so she does not blow up an further.

I get such a postive vibe from all my friends here at FG that it's pretty easy to pass it along! And I know no matter how buff I get I'll never forget the "fat background" I'm coming out of, so I can relate to all the peeps at the gym who are fighting the good fight. Plus I still have a loooooooong way to go, so all the outa shape but trying people help me see where I came from, and the buff people show me where I wanna be.

Good job RW. Sometimes all it takes is a little nudge to get people over the hump.
Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!

Take nothing I say as serious, What do I know, I sell water!!
